A satanic cult worshipper in the 1920ís called Alex Crawley revealed to his sect that he intended to live forever. Not in body, but in spirit. A keen photographer, Crawley believed he had developed a technique toëcaptureí his spirit using photography.
What you are about to witness is Crawleyís ëOMENí - his proof from the past that his spirit lives on...

The Omen is a haunting card effect with three kicks, and comes supplied with a beautifully crafted manuscript containing a haunting script and full instructions, with special gimmicks produced by Nimba Creations' Tom Lautenóalso a keen magician and mentalist himself.

The effect:
The magician explains the story of Alex Crawleyóa man warped by his involvements in satanic cults. Crawley was alleged at the time of his death to have 'embedded' his soul into eternity using a photographic technique.
The spectator is shown 3 face down photographs, and is handed a small ringóa possession of Crawleys. Crawley explained that his immortality and return via spiritual means would be evident as an 'omen'óan omen which he would demonstrate via a medium which he held close to his heartóplaying cards and photography.

A deck of cards is shown to contain 52 regular playing cards. Whilst clutching Crawley's ring, the spectator makes a selection of a card from the face down deck. It is turned over face-up and placed beneath one of the photographs.
The spectator is then asked to make another selectionóthis time 3 cards, all of which are placed beneath the second photograph.
A third and final selection is again randomly made by the spectator, and placed beneath the third photograph.

The spectator is now told that they have acted as a mediumóand by holding the ring belonging to Crawley, they've acted as a channel for his spirit to return. They are the prophet through which Crawley will reveal his omen...

Sure enough, as each photography is turned over, the proof that Crawley's spirit lives on is evident, and the third and final photograph proves undeniably that a connection was made between Crawley and the spectator, in a twist which will leave them scratching their heads.
